FEATURES OF OUR CLIMATE
Our dry, almost desert-like climate, unique in Europe is a mandatory component to be able to dry naturally all that the sea offers us. We elaborate all of our products in the traditional way, and the Ventilation and Drying process is entirely natural. We are the only European firm that uses the natural Drying and Ventilation process all year round.
Our piece of the Mediterranean sea, protected as a world natural preserve for its beauty and originality. The warm and constant winds that come from the North of Africa that mingle with the aroma and coolness of our protected, clean and crystalline waters, create a sea breeze that engulfs our products during the Natural Drying process, giving them an exclusive, incomparable and unique savour. THE TRADITION OF OUR LAND Our land’s tradition of Curing, Ventilation, Drying, Maceration, and
Smoking of fish goes back to the roman epoch, more than 2,000 years ago. The picture shows the remains of one of their factories found in our province. Today, our factory is located very close to these remains and is equipped with the most modern and advanced technology in terms of installations. However, in spite of the passage of time, we go on applying the same Curing, Ventilation, Drying, Maceration and Smoking techniques and processes used by our forebears. CLIMATE, AROMA AND TRADITION From the combination of the features of our Climate, the Aroma of our sea and the Tradition of our land, SALAZONES RAMON ASENSIO S.A. was created. Our firm markets three brands: ASENSIO, RUBENSA and LINEA GOURMET S.A., that were created to be world leaders in their sector.
Said activity allows us to handle large amounts of several species, and among these are found those that we use for our elaborated products. Thanks to this, we can select the raw material that we set apart to elaborate our products, those being of the very first quality. Starting with a highest quality, rigorously selected raw material, using the latest technology in terms of installations and applying the same elaboration, ventilation, drying, maceration and smoking techniques as thousands of years ago – entirely natural processes – we obtain an exclusive and infinitely superior quality. One processed, our products are vacuum packed, with no additives, colouring nor preservatives. These are entirely natural products with an exclusive taste, that can only be savoured while consuming our brands, that can be found in Spain in the best retailer - El Corte Inglés and Hipercor, El Club Del Gurmet de El Corte Inglés, Pryca, Alcampo, Continente, etc. - in the best specialised shops, in the most select restaurants et abroad, distributed world-wide by the most prestigious importers. |
